Another Kuala Lumpur’s landmark, the Menara Kuala Lumpur (or KL Tower) is the 7th tallest telecommunications tower in the world stands majestically atop Bukit Nanas (Pineapple Hill) at 421 meters and 94 meters above sea level, is one of the first and perhaps most enduring images a visitor to KL will encounter. KL Tower was built to endure against wind pressure of 305 km per hour. Its Observation Deck is at a less impressive 276m (it is the highest viewpoint in Kuala Lumpur that is open to the public; at least 100 m higher than the Petronas Twin Towers’ Skybridge ), being situated on the lowest of the six levels in the head of the tower, but as the tower stands on top of a small hill, it still gives excellent views of Kuala Lumpur and the surrounding regions. The level above the observation desk contains a revolving restaurant, providing diners with a panoramic night view of the KL city. KL Tower was opened to the public in 1996, nearly 5 years after construction started. KL Tower was built to endure against wind pressure of 305 km per hour. I have purposely placed the tower in the middle of the frame to point out its central location in the city of Kuala Lumpur. via 500px http://ift.tt/1C3Pw6J
