Sunset in the Monument Valley

You'll want to view this one on black...)) This is reprocessing of my almost 10-years old photo from the archive. I took it in the fall of 2005 in Upper Antelope Canyon. It was a beautiful time. Upper Antelope Canyon was almost empty during off-season months and I enjoyed its silence and incredible beauty almost in solitude. Forgotten times... Nowadays even in winter canyon is packed with people from around the world and crowds are waiting outside for their turn to enter. New cameras are doing much better job regarding dynamic range, but taking good pictures of this and some other "busy" spots becomes more and more problematic. So instead of trying to create new photos I ended up reprocessing the old ones. New RAW convertors are able to bring highlights and shadows of extremely contrast capture to nice and balanced final image. Sunset in the Monument Valley is the Navajo name for this spot in Upper Antelope Canyon, Arizona, USA. This is glance up from the slot canyon floor. Hand-held flash with the blue glass filter was bounced several times against the canyon floor to bring some life to the shadows.
